RNMU empowering nurses and midwives through:
.Continuous Professional Development (CPD) on several clinical issues, including NCDs and infectious diseases.
.Leadership training that empowers nurse and midwife leaders to address emerging health issues using existing resources.
.Empowerment of early-career nurses, midwives, and students with leadership skills and innovative approaches to prepare them to become future leaders of the healthcare system.
.Gender equity training: As 62% of RNMU members are female, these trainings empower nurses and midwives by promoting complementarity between gender equity and professional success.
.Training on disability inclusion: More than 200 nurses and midwives have different disabilities and need to be included in professional development and enabled to play a crucial role in patient care.
.Sign language training: Nurses and midwives are at the frontline of patient care and often face difficulties communicating with deaf patients, which affects the provision of equal care. RNMU, together with its partners, provides sign language training for nurses and midwives, focusing on those in charge of customer care.
.Research and conferences: Nurses and midwives need research skills to develop evidence-based practice. Over the past 10 years, RNMU has provided training in nursing and midwifery research and recently conducted a successful international conference with over 500 participants.
.Preceptorship: One strategy to ensure quality education for nurses and midwives is strong clinical training for students. However, clinical preceptors need more training and motivation to mentor nursing and midwifery students. RNMU provides clinical preceptorship empowerment training for clinical preceptors.
.Climate change and environmental protection: Healthcare cannot be separated from climate change and the environment. RNMU provides training on climate change, environmental protection, and health.
