In order for the Rwanda Nurses and Midwives Union elected bodies to serve the Union members, they meet and discuss all the issue faced by members at different levels.
In this year 2023, RNMU had many achievements including creating new partnerships that will contribute to the services offered to nurses and midwives in Rwanda. As much as there are recognized achievements, there are also challenges and issues that RNMU still has to work on to in order to achieve its goal of having empowered nurses who will provide high quality service while enjoying life.
Consequently, the National Executive Bureau (NEB) met on the 7th December 2023 and the board was given an update among which are the meeting held in Kampala where the Africa Nurses and Midwives confederation was created in the African region. This federation was created in order for the nurses and midwives in Africa to have a common and stronger voice when dealing with the different issue facing them.
More in discussion, the board being in charge of the National Union Council (NUC), they organized for its date of 8th December 2023.
29/44 members of the NUC members attended the meeting and it was the first of a kind because it is a new elected team. The NUC members blessed the 2024-2028 strategic plan. The 2024 action plan was reviewed after the validation of the 2023 activity and financial.
