Training of the people living with disability

As RNMU is determined to promote equality of the nurses and midwives in Rwanda regardless of the physical, sex and health status, she started a program in favor of the nurses/midwives living with disability. Nursing and Midwifery are professions that are exposed to disability due to the nature of the work done. Pushing beds, carrying patients and exposure to many different critical cases could all lead either psychological or physical disability. The program includes training the nurses/midwives living with disability for empowerment purpose. From the 27th – 28th/06/2019 RNMU trained 68 nurses/midwives living with disability. During the training the trainees were able to open up and discuss about their challenges and also made some solutions to face the day today life
