This week, the Rwanda Nurses and Midwives Union (RNMU) is bringing together its District Committee members from Eastern Province and Kigali City for productive discussions on the future of the nursing and midwifery profession.
The sessions are providing a platform for RNMU members serving as nurses and midwives leaders to exchange ideas, reflect on the progress of the profession, and identify areas that require greater attention, with a focus on professional growth, emerging career opportunities, and the challenges nurses and midwives continue to face in their workplaces and communities.
Participants are also sharing experiences from their respective districts, exploring practical ways to improve leadership and support one another in addressing challenges within the profession, while also having the opportunity to draft their 2027 RNMU Action Plans.
Through engagements like these, RNMU continues to expand its network of members, promote professional excellence, and ensure that nurses and midwives have a strong voice in shaping the future of healthcare in Rwanda.
